Employees from Centralia's Nike Outlet have been spending time with our Edison Bulldogs during Tuesday Recesses. The visits are arranged under Nike's Community Ambassador Program according to Felicia Forgash. "Nike wants to get kids ages 7-12 interested in being active. That particular generation is currently expected to live 5 years less than any other generation currently living. And so we want to get them active to help prolong their lives!"
Forgash sais Nike is passionate about the program and that the company pays them for the time to come have fun with students. The company also provides a large selection of footballs, basketballs, and soccer balls so that students can chose an activity that best suits their interest. The Tuesday visits were arranged thanks to the efforts of Edison's PE teacher, Kerri Kite-Pocklington.
