March 30 is the deadline for referring 3rd-11th grade students for highly capable testing for enrollment in the HiCap program in the fall of 2017. Teachers or parents may refer, but parent permission is required to test. Students can be tested for HiCap no more than once every two years.
As we've been doing for the past two years, we will test all 2nd graders this spring (date to be determined). We have not yet finalized a process for testing kindergarten or first grade. More information on that to come soon.
