Delivery of Portable Buildings May Impact Traffic

A total of 18 classroom buildings will begin to be delivered starting on April 12th. By necessity, these buildings will travel along Borst Avenue. Most of the portables are double wide, meaning they will be delivered in two separate pieces. It is our intention to not deliver more than one building per day. The final delivery date is tentatively scheduled as June 11th. Unfortunately, we are not able to provide an estimate for the time of day these buildings will arrive.

Due to the width of the building sections, it may be necessary for delivery crews to briefly close portions of Borst Avenue to allow safe passage. Alternate routes to Harrison Ave. are available via Mount Vista Rd., Russel Rd., Fords Prairie Ave. (via Eshom Rd.) and Galvin Rd. (via Eshom Rd.).

Later this summer you may begin to notice the arrival of construction equipment. We do not anticipate any traffic disruptions related to those deliveries at this time, we will provide updates as necessary.

Thank you for your patience and support during this exciting time for Centralia High School! If you have any questions about our construction process that cannot be answered on our Construction Updates page, please feel free to contact our district office at 360-330-7600.
