Elementary Summer Academy

Centralia School District Elementary Summer Academy 

June 28-July 23, 2021: 3.5 hours in the morning per day from 9:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

An exciting summer learning opportunity is available for current Kindergarten - 6th grade students. Students will engage with science and strengthen skills in reading, writing and math. Students will also have embedded targeted support and social-emotional learning opportunities.

Attendance: Students registered for the summer academy are expected to be on time and attend daily. The parent/guardian of students who miss more than two days(for reasons other than Covid-19 limitations) will be required to collaborate with the principal. Further absences may result in the student being dropped from the program.

Covid-19 safety protocols: Students are required to follow established safety protocols including daily health attestations, mask wearing, distancing, and frequent hand washing.

Transportation: Transportation will be provided for students who need it. The parent/guardian will be notified of the bus schedule once it is finalized.

Application Process: Complete application on district website OR turn in the paper version(available at each school building) to your child's school office no later than Friday, June 4th. The District will make every effort to accept all student applications; however, each site has an attendance limit depending upon staff and space considerations. In the event that we are unable to accommodate all students, schools will follow a selection process which prioritizes on-time applications, student academic and social emotional needs, early grade levels, and the family commitment of attendance.

Notice of acceptance will occur by Friday, June 11th.
