• What is PBIS?

Here at Edison we are in year 4 of implementing PBIS to make this a safe, respectful and responsible place to be! Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports (PBIS) is a proactive approach to establishing behavioral supports and social culture needs for all students to achieve social, emotional and academic success. The following diagram illustrates the multi-level approach offered to all students in the school. These group depictions represent systems of support not children. Attention is focused on creating and sustaining primary (school-wide), secondary (classroom), and tertiary (individual) systems of support that improve behavior. All staff at Edison practice common area expectations, language, and rewards for demonstrating these expectations. Ask your child what Bark Bucks are and how they are earned.
