I want to warmly welcome you to the 2017-2018 school year! It is my sincere pleasure and honor to serve as Jefferson Lincoln’s new principal. I am looking forward to partnering with you as we travel through the school year together.
Not only am I a principal, but I am also a wife and mother. My husband, Chris, is a Regional Area Director for Pizza Hut. Our son, Kristopher, is 19 years old and is serving as a United States Marine. Our daughter, Camille, is 10 years old and is a competitive gymnast. As a family we enjoy hiking, running and watching movies together.
My professional background: I received my Bachelor's degree and teaching certificate from Pacific Lutheran University. I earned my Masters degree, with an emphasis in the Creative Arts, from Lesley University. Shortly afterwards, I became a Nationally Board Certified Teacher. I earned my administrative credentials from Seattle Pacific University.
During my 15 years as an educator, I taught 1st, 2nd and 3rd grade and served as a Dean of Students and Assistant Principal in the North Thurston Public Schools.
As your principal, a priority for me this year is to establish positive, trusting relationships with our staff, students, families and community members. It is critical that we foster a strong partnership between school and home. One of the best ways to do this is by engaging in frequent communication. We will utilize a variety of modes of communication throughout the school year, which will include email, phone calls, newsletters, reader board displays, Facebook and School Messenger.
I am committed to ensuring that every student receives the best academic and social support. Please feel free to stop by my office to say hello; I’m looking forward to meeting you.
I wish your family, and especially your student, great success during this new school year.
