    Welcome to Fords Prairie Elementary School.
     
    Thank you for entrusting your child to us. As a staff we will do our very best to ensure that your child is successfully prepared for his/her future.
     
    As we strive to prepare your child for the future, remember that you are a welcome and necessary participant in the educational process. There are several ways you can support your child at school: reading together, talking about school, going to the library, calling the teacher, stopping by for a visit, attending conferences, open house, joining the Parent-Teacher-Organization (PTO), volunteering in the classroom or around school, and communicating any changes that happen at home.
     
    Our staff will be teaching the Journey's Reading and Writing program, Investigation in Math, and Foss Science. These research-based programs incorporate the best teaching practices with research on how students learn.
     
    This handbook contains important information about the operations of Fords Prairie Elementary School. Please read it carefully with your child. Please feel free to call (360) 330-7633 with any questions that you may have.
