• All 3rd-10th graders will take the SBAC ELA and math assessments.

    All 5th, 8th, and 11th graders will take the WCAS science assessment.

    All 11th and 12th graders needing to pass the SBAC ELA and/or math assessments for their graduation pathway will also take the assessments.

    All students grades 3-12 (except 9th) are required to sit for state assessments in May. Parents will need to drop off and pick up their students from the school of record for the assessments.

     

    CVA @ Washington Elementary, arrive before 8:50 am for a 9:00 am start - calls will be made for pickup after each student has completed their assessment:

    Wednesday, May 3rd - only 5th graders - Science Assessment

    Wednesday, May 10th - 3rd through 6th - SBAC ELA

    Wednesday, May 17th - 3rd through 6th - SBAC Math

    CVA @ CHS - arrive no later than 7:30am for a 7:40am start:

    We offer, to all students, the opportunity, as students who score a level 3 or 4 on the high school SBAC qualify for placement in a college level English and math courses at Washington public two and four year post-secondary institutions. It doesn’t hurt the student in any way to take the assessments.

    Tests are required for state and federal accountability. Please email me if you have concerns or questions. Students, please continue to check your school emails for communication about testing and other things related to school.
