InterDistrict/Non-Resident Transfers (Transfer from one school district to another school district)
InterDistrict transfers require completion of the form below. Please take it to your resident school district, even if the student has never attended there, to obtain a releasing signature. Once it has been signed, submit it to the Centralia District Office at 2320 Borst Avenue in Centralia or to the email listed at the top of the form.
The Centralia School District Board of Directors annually will inform parents of the the interdistrict enrollment options and parental involvement opportunities. All applications for nonresident attendance will be considered on an equal basis.
Centralia School District will begin accepting forms for the 2020-21 school year on April 1st.
Standards for accepting or rejecting an InterDistrict Transfer request (Exerpt from 3141 Policy):
Your transfer request approval/denial is based upon the following standards:
- Whether acceptance of a nonresident student would result in the district experiencing significant financial hardship
- Whether in the grade level or class at the building in which the student desires to be enrolled has the capacity for additional students
- Whether appropriate educational programs or services are available to improve the student's condition as stated in requesting release from his or her district of residence
We have adjusted this form to be typeable and we are temporarily accepting electronic signatures on this form to adhere to social distancing.
