The Early Learning Center is a part of the Special Education Department. We are located about a half a block behind Centralia College, on the corner of Rock and Plum streets. The Early Learning Center offers several early intervention programs through the Centralia school district. Specialists in these programs include: OT, PT, SLP, School Psychologist, and Family Resource Coordinator. The Growing Together Program offers a multitude of services, ranging form screenings, assessments, family services, home visits, speech, occupational and physical therapies as well as several therapeutic play groups for children from birth to age three. Beyond Words Preschool is a language based preschool for children with a delay in the area of speech and language and their typically developing peers. Bus transportation is provided for children as part of the IEP. Community children from Centralia are served in the Beyond Words Preschool. Developmental screening referrals and application requests for community slots are welcome.
