CLASSROOM VOLUNTEERSClassroom volunteers are a vital part of the fourth grade experience. I welcome parents, grandparents, and community members into our classroom. There are many important jobs that volunteers can do. Here are just a few examples.MATH HELPERHelp small groups of students learn mathematical skills by leading a hands-on activity or playing a math game.Classroom commitment: One day a week (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, or Friday) from 9:00-10:00.SCIENCE HELPERHelp to organize, set up and clean up science materials for our hands-on science lessons.Classoom commitment: Thursday afternoons from 1:30-2:45.READING HELPERRead one-on-one with students. Help a small group of students with a reading activity.Classroom commitment: One day a week (Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday) from 12:10-1:45.FIELD TRIP HELPERJoin us on our field trip to the Port Blakely tree farm. Lead a group of 3-4 students as we take a guided tour through the forest. The trip is scheduled for October 20, 2015. The time frame is 8:15 am-1:30 pm.SPECIAL PROJECTS HELPERWatch for emails and notes from Ms Miracle regarding special events and projects. There are many days during the year when we will need several volunteers for special projects. Our first project this year is helping students decorate and cover their writing notebooks. Volunteers are needed on Friday, September 11th from 9:00-11:00 am.TEACHER'S ANGELSCORRECTING ANGELHelp Ms Miracle give immediate feedback to students by correcting some of the pages in the weekly homework packet. (You will have an answer key for the pages.)Classroom commitment: Friday mornings from 9:15-10:15PRINTING ANGELWin Ms Miracle's undying appreciation by learning to use the Oakview copy machine! Once a week, copy off the classroom's weekly printing pages.Classroom commitment: One day a week for 20-30 minutes.
