As we proceed through the winter months, the Centralia School District wants to help staff, students, and families prepare for inclement weather and potential school and program schedule changes.

Due to inclement/weather/unsafe road conditions, we want you to be aware that we may have to transition from hybrid learning to full distance learning instead of canceling school. This will include all students at the elementary and secondary levels, including those who receive ELL and Special Services, or those who take advantage of the high school Broadband Cafe.

Announcements regarding the cancellation of hybrid learning services will be issued through automated phone calls and emails to the account we have on file in Skyward (our student management system) for each family. To be prepared for emergencies like those caused by inclement weather, it is important that you keep the contact numbers in Skyward current. Information will also be posted on the District website, FlashAlert and social media platforms (Twitter, Instagram, and Facebook). If you would like to sign up for FlashAlert Messages for CSD, click here

If a teacher experiences power outages during live teaching, they will get back online as soon as possible. In such instances, students and families should focus on asynchronous learning, checking back periodically to see if the teacher is back online.

Each year, the district faces the possibility of schedule changes due to weather, road conditions or other emergencies. Connect to one of the technologies listed below to access district information about schedule changes:
