TEACHING
     I have been teaching since 2000.  I taught fifth grade for my first year and then moved up to sixth grade where I have been since 2001.  I really enjoy this age and hope that I can continue working where I am until I retire.

 

HOBBIES
     I really enjoy bowling and have been bowling in the USBC National Invitational for the past five years.  I have also gold medaled in the Washington State Senior Games over the past two years and am looking forward to bowling in the National Senior Games in Minnesota July 2015.  I am a big space nut and got to go to Space Camp in Alabama in the summer of 2012. 

 

EDUCATION
     I went to Centralia High School and Lewis County Community School.  I graduated in 1976.  I was in business until about 1995 when I decided to get into the education field.  I graduated from Centralia College in 1997 and Saint Martin's University in 1999.  I am currently working on my National Board Certification.

 

     I have been married to my wife Cathy since 1979.  She also graduated from CHS in 1976.  We have two children, both CHS grads, Quinn (class of 2004) and Rees (class of 2007).  Cathy works at Washington Elementary as a para-educator (Centralia College 1998).  Quinn is a graduate of Central Washington Uninversity and currently is an accounts manager at Puget Sound Pipe and Supply in Kent, WA.  (Central Washington University 2008)  Rees is a graduate of DigiPen University in Redmond, Washington and is currently employed by Intel in Folsom, CA.
