Library Objective: To provide a rich learning environment, encourage academic excellence, and foster the love of reading for lifelong learning.
Student Checkouts: Students are allowed to check out 2 books at a time. Books are due 2 weeks from date of checkout. Weekly overdue slips are given to students during their Language Arts classes on Thursdays. All Language Arts classes are scheduled for library time every other week. Students do not need to wait for their class to return books to the library. If a book is lost or damaged, students will be assessed a fine and will not receive mid-quarter reports or end of quarter report cards until fine is paid. Students will also not be allowed to checkout any other books from the library until the fine is paid.
Access to the Library: The library is open to students beginning at 7:45 every day and during break time, both lunches and after school until 3:10.
Computer Access: The Library has 20 student use computers available during library hours. Computers may only be used to complete schoolwork and checking of grades. School computers may not be used for checking email, or web-surfing sites such as Facebook, MySpace or for general game playing.
