Thank You!

We would like to thank everyone from law enforcement officers to CHS staff, District office staff, parents, etc. who played a role in helping us keep students safe as events unfolded surrounding the threat found at CHS on Friday. We can't express our gratitude enough for the amazing work everyone did. In situations like this we will always exercise an abundance of caution to ensure the safety of your children.

Centralia Community Church of God- We know your staff had kids of their own at the high school today, and we can't thank you enough for opening your doors to the community to facilitate the release of students to parents.

Lewis County Sheriff's Office, Washington State Patrol, and Centralia Police Department- Thank you for your fast response and professional approach to the day. It's great to know that you're ready and able to jump into action should we need you.

CHS Staff - You were amazing. You managed your students and each other calmly, safely, and effectively. You all showed great strength and endurance as you played a big part in keeping every student safe.

Parents - We know this situation was very stressful. We're all parents as well and many of our staff and board members had students in the school with your own. Thank you for your outpouring of support for each other as the crowd gathered at Centralia Community Church of God to collect their students. Thank you for your patience and understanding during the slow process of releasing students. We couldn't be more pleased that everyone went home safe to their families on Friday.

Finally, District Office Staff - You all dropped everything to either help with telephones or to be present at CHS, or the church to help in a variety of ways. Thank you for your quick response and willingness to step in.
